This is the no date 1966, ten dollar currency note issued by the National Bank of Ethiopia. The front of the banknote is dark red on multicolor background. The front depicts the image of emperor Haile Selassie at right and the image of the building housing the National Bank of Ethiopia in Addis Ababa to the left. The back, which is red in color, depicts the image of the Ethiopian Arms which is a crowned lion with a flagged cross in its paw. The banknote does not display the date anywhere. It displays the denomination on both the front and back. It has one signature on the front. This particular note has the serial number AC281479, which is displayed in black twice on the front. The note has no watermark but has a security thread left of center. The paper of the note is rather thick and stiff. The note is intact and has no tears or splits. It has several vertical folds but no horizontal folds that we could find. It is soiled but has no stains. The note has no pinholes but has some light graffiti in the bottom margin of the back near the right corner. The corners of the note are intact but show some rounding and light bumping. The edges are intact and do not show appreciable roughness. A nice note to add to your collection.
