    Unique type : 1 single date (1866) and 1 single Mint (Mexico City).
    This first decimal series was launched under Maximilian's rule. The imperial government immediately launched a batch of measures to modernize the country, improve its administration, make it more efficient and less corrupt. Decimalisation of the Peso is an example among others of Maximilian's attempt.
    The sub-multiples of the imperial decimal Peso were minted in very low numbers, as compared with the silver pesos. The mintage of the 50 centavos coin is
